ABSTRACT

Fulminant myocarditis (FM) in children is an acute inflammatory myocardial disease, prominently manifesting as hemodynamic disorder.Because of acute onset and rapid progression, FM can cause myocardial cell edema, necrosis, cardiac shock and sudden death.Early symptoms of FM are usually atypical and laboratory tests are nonspecific, thus leading to misdiagnosis. If in time identification and diagnosis of FM is failed, its premature mortality rate can be significantly risen.Electrocardiogram, echocardiogram and cardiac magnetic resonance examinations are of great importance for early detection of FM and prognosis evaluation.Currently, mechanical circulation support is the effective therapeutic strategy for FM.A growing number of studies have focused on the clinical diagnosis and treatment of FM in children, especially the early diagnosis and active interventions, which is of great significance to improve the survival and quality of life in the future. In this paper, the advance on current diagnosis and treatment of FM in children were reviewed.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo investigate the efficacy of along-meridian distal point selection in treating post-cerebral infarction shoulder-hand syndrome.MethodSixty patients with post-cerebral infarction shoulder-hand syndrome were randomly allocated to treatment and control groups, 30 cases each. The control group was treated by routine neurological medical treatment, conventional acupuncture for stroke-attack on meridians and rehabilitation training and the treatment group, by along-meridian distal point selection in addition. The therapeutic effects were evaluated in both groups after four courses of treatment. The VAS scores, affected-side hand swelling scores and upper limb FMA scores were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. ResultThe VAS score, affected-side hand swelling score and upper limb FMA score were significantly better in both groups after treatment than before (P<0.01). Post-treatment VAS score, affected-side hand swelling score and upper limb FMA score were significantly better in the treatment group than in the control group; there were statistically significant differences (P<0.01,P<0.05). ConclusionAlong-meridian distal point selection has clinically a better improving effect on the pain, affected-side hand swelling and upper limb function in patients with post-cerebral infarction shoulder-hand syndrome.

ABSTRACT

Background and purpose:The development of breast cancer is a multi-step process associated with changes in host chromosome, and some of which correlate with the appearance and progression of the tumor. We studied the expression of BUBl,APC protein in normal breast, hyperplasia of mammary glands and breast cancer tissues and evaluated its difference and clinical significance. Methods:The inmmunohistochemical method was used to analyze the expression of BUB1 and APC protein in normal breast, hyperplasia of mammary glands and breast cancer tissues. Results:The positive rate of BUB1 protein expression in normal, hyperplasia of mammary glands and breast cancer tissues was 86.7%,80.0% and46.0%,respectively.There were signifi cant differences among the three breast tissues(P
